Join us in the beautiful Wallowa Valley and relax at the peaceful Wallowa River RV Park. The park sits along the Wallowa River and next to the Nez Pearce Homeland grounds and just 25 miles from Joseph, Oregon. The main Native American festival in Wallowa, Oregon, is the Tamkaliks Celebration and Friendship Feast. This annual three-day event takes place every July at the Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland. The event included:
- Powwow & Dancing: Three days of drumming, contest dancing, and spectacular traditional regalia in a shaded outdoor arbor.
- Horse Procession: A morning procession that symbolically and culturally honors the Nez Perce's return to their ancestral home.
- Friendship Feast: A large community potluck meal featuring traditional indigenous foods like salmon, elk, and buffalo.
